Would like some pics and descriptions of various setups to look at the options.

Dude that is a nice setup. Would be a shame to not use those old shock mounts.

I really like the kwc mount but the shock travel looks to be about 1" to 1 1/2", while the spring plate range is 3" to 4". |

Pics guys? You'd think there were only stock buses out there.
Here's another SA, not the best pic. It's from that super low Japanese bus.
The more usual method. Just weld on a mount to the chassis legs.

I just did a run of those upper shock mounts...I copied an original Split window bug piece.
That's what I use. |

Thanks, I can make them longer for barndoors if needed. Also working on the lower mounts for non lower shock mounts trans (early split / pre-a / barndoor) I'll be making them "stock" and longer. |

Those ends where the shocks mount don't seem very stout... They look good though |

Copied from an original. Same dimensions same thickness metal, etc.
More on that in the split section here...

Will the new, longer ones enable me to replace my lever shocks on a stock barndoor setup with regular shocks? If so, I have a set of levers if someone wants them once these are on. _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

If it's not lowered you don't need longer ones. The above upper mounts and a set of triangle mounts for the bottom will do the trick.
I should have the lower mounts done next week sometime. |

will those work on newer buses with narrowed rear end or those offset springplates?
and how much are they going to be sold for? |
With enough determination and fabrication anything can be made to work.
These however are made to bolt on through the existing lever shock holes and the triangles bolt on through the axle / spring plate holes.
I've used the upper mounts in early cars running later transaxle's that have lower shock mounts as well. Works very good.
As for a price, the uppers run $150 a set, not sure on the lowers. There will of course be a package price if they are bought together. |
