|
|
I put this in a new specific topic.
I bought a Swedish workshop manual covering cars up to 1952. The next workshop manual is called II here in Sweden and the German version is available at Volkswagen classic parts. Part II is almost exactly the same layout and contents in Swedish and German. I believe all languages manuals were the same contents.
My problem with the manual is that sections A and R (Aufbau/Body and Rahmen/frame) is almost empty.
I have found through a Swedish forum 3 people with the same manual and same sections missing.
The book seems not to be that common, so I doubt I find another copy of it.
I have found that kaefernostalgie sells a german copy on CD, I'd probably buy that but it seem those sections were only 6 pages and that seems almost as empty as my manual, as I have 4 pages about painting in section A and nothing in R. But that seems not to solve the mystery...
If anyone out there has a complete book, I'd be very glad if you could help me find out what is missing. If these chapters were never finished, I can stop searching.
The body section would be good to have as the next book (52 and on) only covers the oval body , the frame is probably the same in the next book.
I'm annoyed by this mysterious lost 2 chapters of the book... _________________ Johan, Sweden

My Sept '50 manual doesn't even have a section A or R, but it is a copy so doesn't mean the original didn't. I have a supplement "A" section that is just 5 pages that covers the sliding sunroof. _________________ John Henry

I have an original 1949 edition in German, and both Sections A and R are incomplete as well. The pages I have are:
Section A: 2-10 to 2-11, 9-5 to 9-7
Section R: 2-5 to 2-7
If these would be useful, I would be happy to scan and send them to you. _________________ Driving in the slow lane since 1969. |

That would of course be great!
I have ordered the 1951 scan from kaefer nostalgie, and with that and what I have in Swedish and your information, the manual will be less incomplete, though in different languages.
I will send you a PM with my email. _________________ Johan, Sweden
