Hi folks,
i had some customers who need 61 - 63 beryll green fabric.
It was from August 1961 up to July 1963, from Chassis No. 4 010 995 up to 5 677 118
If there are some more guys who need that i can start a reproduction.
You will need 5 meters for a car, the price is 70 Euro / Meter.
I had a little confusion with the 1960 only beryll fabric. Some need 60 and some 61-63.
Let me know if there are some more out there.
By the way, i need a GOOD SAMPLE for the reproduction.

??? You have the 1 time chance to get this special fabric.
Save money, every month 100 $ so you have it. It will not be ready before 6 month.

I can't imagine it would cost that much even for an acurate reproduction. There are many reproduction companies doing this, you might contact someone like this:

We had that all, you only have to take like 200 meters ore more.
Ok, you will do that, no problem.
I am wondering that all fabricstuff come from europe, what is sell at lenny, WW etc

I have now send the samples to the producer, i calculate with may 2014 that the fabric is ready!
Price 80 Euro / meter 4 x 80 = 320 Euro car.
So let me know if there are some more intersted guys.

hey Marcus, I emailed/pm-ed you about the fabric. Happy to have few metres for my '62 rag. Please keep me posted on the progress.
In the meantime I'm working on reproducing the color coded vent trim by low pressure PUR casting. We tried to reproduce the running board mats but someone beat us to it (happy with that, it was a difficult part). This shape is very well doable.

Please post some parts you will reproduce, to find that stuff is harder than pre 49 splitparts  I am sure here will be some guys wich will need it!
The samples are at the producer and it will go his way.

okay here goes;
this one, edge trim in Nepal green (a '62 only item)
shifter boot in Nepal green, though the shape proves to be very hard for reproduction if you want no mould/casting edges on the outside (like the originals). They had some very clever engineers back then. Pretty much all repros come with the casting edge.
and oh, almost forgot  this one
rag vinyl!!
yes, it is true.
Based upon the colour of a NOS BG rag vinyl, we are currently testing to dye white repro vinyls. The item you see here is our test sample. I'm doing this in close collaboration with a professional Dutch upholstering company. We use quite an experimental procedure which seems to work...
I'll post any progress on that here as well. If it all holds up well enough (currently doing rain and UV tests), we might start dying a batch of 10 I think, also depending on the demand. Prices not sure yet.
If you want one, just let me know.

The dyed rag sample is still receiving the full MotherNature-treatment 24/7. No noticable color fade or wear so far

i just want to inform you that this is still running, the factory put the minimum quantity for order from 50 up to 100 meter, but i will do that for you guys.
When you are interested in that stuff please send pm with beryll green as subject, so i will find you in some month.

Id be interested in a rubber heater piece for a 1961 Turkis colored bug, it was a blue/green color, same style. also would like to get a blue/green hand brake boot and even a set of floor matts, and passenger Blue / green dash handle for my Turkis colored 1961 Bug.
Please email me if you find a vendor that can do a good job at this part or the others I listed, if they can do green, then I assume they can do the blue/green I need.
