Hello,
I need your help. It's my first post and I am not a specialist (for the moment !) from Beetle. A man propose to me this car. He say it's a War Beetle.

I am not a expert by any means, but I gotta agree with the others so far, looks like a 50-52 to me. I would still take it in a heartbeat if the price was right. polish and roll it as is!

Post the chassis #. With so many replacement parts on the car (from 1950-55 Beetles) it is difficult to establish the actual year of the Beetle.

Agree is a standard split, not kdf otherwise would miss many parts, but the best is to see what is the chassis number. |

The number is about 1400 higher than the Jan 51 (Typ 1) number which is 175 714, so the body is from Febr 1951. The chassis may match or it could be changed.

on kdf and early beetles there is no metal. It´s open. |
