Sunday April 1, 2011
Meet in the Middle BBQ IX Santa Barbara County, California
Vintage Volkswagen Club of America, Central Coast Chapter, CA
This is our big Central Coast Event, don't miss out!
Rain Cancels
Sunday, April 1, 2012
11am to 3pm
Nojoqui Falls Park, near Solvang
Directions to the Park
This is a grass roots effort and we need your help to make it a success.
Read On...
General Info: Meet us in the Middle for a gathering of VW enthusiasts from Southern and Central California. The location is beautiful Nojoqui Falls Park in Santa Barbara County. It is near the Danish style city of Solvang. Take the short hike up the trail to the falls that are usually flowing nicely this time of year.
There is no charge to get in.
Raffle: We are still working on the details for this. As usual we will also have our big roll around tool chest and other cool stuff.
Help us out and bring something to raffle. It doesn't matter how small it is, we will package together items to make a good prize. Any non VW prizes would be great also. Just bring to the BBQ whatever you have to donate. Or mail to Brian O'Kelly, 2014 Kleck Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446
Awards: Now's your chance to get back at all those event organizers who never get it right Wink. Bring your own award, serious, funny, or just outside the box to give to whoever you think is deserving. You can announce it yourself or we will do it according you your instructions!
If you bring an award come by the BBQ and get a notice to put on the car so they show up to the awards/raffle.
This is a fun alternative to the usual show awards. Be creative and have some fun!
BBQ: We will have a huge group BBQ fired up so all you have to do is bring your favorite BBQ to throw on the grill.
Burger, Chips and a Drink will also be available for $5.
Stealth Swap: Official swapping is not allowed in the park (no tables or parts on the ground)
However...You can bring stuff to sell or trade, but it must be low profile, in your car would be the way to go.
Cruise Info: There will be cruises from the North and South.
From the South:
Leave Ventura at 0900 sharp (get there early) from the Arbys on Main St. 3550 east Main st Ventura Ca
From the North:
Paso Robles, Spring St and 12th 8:00am
Madonna exit, left to Starbucks on Madonna 8:45 am
Santa Maria, Stowell Rd McDonalds 9:30 am
More info on Nojoqui Falls Park

There's going to be a few of us from Orange County heading up that way. Our plan is to meet around 6am and cruise to Ventura, then on from there. LMK if anyone is interested in tagging along. _________________ Andy Kimball

I had surgery on my hand last week, but am hoping to make it. If I do I may be stealth swapping. Look for the 54 single cab with a set of rostyles and a set of porsche torque thrusts for sale. _________________ ~slovolks~ |

First the 50th anniversary of the Type 3 and now this. You may start to like it up here in SLO country and have to move _________________ Brian O'Kelly

MITM is a confirmed GO. No chance of a rain cancellation.
Visiting Tip: If you want to cruise around and look at all the cars, bring shoes good for use on damp grass. There may be some dew drops on the grass early on. _________________ Brian O'Kelly

Yeah, I've always had a soft spot for Central California. The 50th cruise sucked me in, can't wait for Sunday.
For anyone cruising up from Orange County, we will be meeting at the 7-Eleven off the 55 freeway and 17th @ 6am Sharp Sunday morning.
7-Eleven
2217 East 17th Street
Santa Ana, CA 9270
From there we plan to hook up with the Cruise in Ventura leaving Arby's at 9am. See everyone Sunday! _________________ Andy Kimball

Camping with Joe Slack & Jeff "Turbo" Beckman at Lake Cachuma Friday & Saturday night...think Ricks camping Saturday in his 57 double sub-hatch...
Anyone else is welcome... Cachuma is first come first served, but is pretty empty this time of year...see y'all there!! _________________ Michael (aka Brickhaus)
