having a weird locking issue with my t-handle. When i unlatch the handle and pull the decklid up, i can turn it the handle back to latched position and lock it with the key. but when i put the decklid back down, turn the latch 180 to latch it in place, i can't lock it. the key just won't turn in the keyhole when the lid is latched down.

any thoughts? i hope it's not a bad core, because the handle and my door are still a matching set that use the same key. Thanks!

I had the same issues with a locking T handle I had on a 56 I use to own. When the deck lid is down turn the handle to the lock position then turn the handle a little bit further while keeping pressure on the key until it locks. Give that a try it worked for mine.

I'll explain why your handle is doing this if my method works.

hmm, actually it's the other way around. when i turn the handle to unlatch it, i can lock it. but when i latch it down, i can only turn the key almost 90 degrees. even if i try jiggling the T back and forth and trying to lock it, it doesn't lock. Crying or Very sad
