Take Pictures!!! from every angle possible. I wouldn't recommend doing this in a gravel driveway as there are several small parts that can be easy to lose.
I have yet to completely swap my slider, but have partially taken it apart/off several times. It doesn't seem like a tough job. Just make sure you have a helper when it comes to pulling it off as it isn't light. _________________ 2004 Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter (Custom Camper)

Remove the slider cover. About halfway back is a cutout in the track. Slide the door to that point and you can unhook the rear slider. You then pull the bottom of the door out and lower it to remove the upper slider. A helper is handy. No need to remove any brackets or bolts as long as you get the cover off and find the cutout. |

thanks again.
-
popped off slider cover [screws first and some silcone lube spray along top]
-
opened door to halfway mark where little notch is.
-
out and away if comes, real easy [be ready with extra hands!]
-
walked it out to an angle of 45 degrees or so
-
slide door to back and bottom comes up and top drops down [again, be ready with extra hands]
-
hardest part was figuring out that i'd have to swap all the handles and latch hardware since mine was in good working order and the donor door had nice tin and glass but crappy latches and slider.
-
it opens and closes like a dream.
-
now, suggestions on swapping out side window behind driver?
