Im yet to test these out but the important thing is they look cool. lol
Standard dash is running VDO classic gauges and the microtech will handle EFI and engine monitoring. Best of both old and new school I hope...

Let me know what you think of that ultra gauge. It seems like a cheaper version of a dashhawk. I'm curious to know cause that's a nice clean easy set up for gauges. |

This is the main panel out of my Rat Rod Trail Rail.
Here it is in the car.
It also has a smaller panel mounted on the shifter.
Gauges are oil temp, water temp, oil pressure, vacuum and voltage. There's a tach on the steering column and a GPS speedo on the overhead. The oil temp and water temp are the same gauge with a switch to select between the two sensors.

indianpeaksjoe,
That's all you need nothing changed in the last 50 years worked then works now.
I run dual idiot lights wired in parallel just to be safe. If the lights are off and I have fuel were good to go. Keep your eyes on the trail and take mental notes of mountain ridgebacks the shape and color. Also the direction of the sun, If its in your eyes heading out it better be in your eyes coming back vise versa. Basic common sense.

Aluminum extrusion, machined out with laser cut panels bolted to it to hold the gauges.
90% of the car's complex wiring contained within the dash for an extremely clean car frame.
And now with the fake carbon fiber overlay

Same idea, all the wiring for the ECU/Fusebox and controls are self contained in the dash - it just has two plugs at one end and the whole lot removes with the dashboard:

How do you guys reach your dash for all the buttons/switches when in a harness? Do you loosen up every time you need to lean forward?
Thanks, Dan |

I love all the different ways people are approaching this.
Some of the solutions are just awesome.
Have a great drive all.

The buttons are reachable with harnesses on, but it's setup so basically you don't really need to hit anything once it's set anyway for mine.
It's autodimming on the screen and it runs light sensors for headlight pods in the dark if they're fitted, etc, so they're automatic as are the running lights at the rear. The screen changes depending on if any readings are in a warning zone or flashes lights if needed for anything that's an emergency, the power steering automatically adjusts itself for speed and idles itself when the car is stood, rad fans automatically adjust their speeds to temperatures, etc.
The adjustment knob on the left is for launch control so you only really need to hit that once and the one on the right is for brake bias which only really needs a tweak between stages. |

I have a smaller switch panel mounted on my shifter that has a start/stop switch, horns, a Super Cool switch to spray water on the radiator and the Bush Cruiser switch, my offroad cruise control.
Everything else is pretty much automatic but if I want to over ride that, I have a metal rod with a wire loop on the end to reach the switches while strapped in. |

Tried to keep it simple.
Had the kid who owned the car before me hadn’t cut a gaping hole in the dash to fit a 30$ shit stereo I likely wouldn’t have done it this way.
I think it turned out pretty good.
Marshall gages are backlit LED.
