I hate to disappoint, but I'll be taking the Thing up this year. The pin finally fell out of the hand grenade 40 horse I currently have in my oval. I lost compression and it died over this winter. I just moved and don't have extra cash to rebuild the original right (need to build a garage).
I can't complain, I spent $200 on the motor and put about 2500 fun miles on it.

Litchfield 25 will be held on Fathers Day, June 16. A few improvements to note as of this time. The bathrooms will be open on Saturday from 4pm to 10 pm. That is two hours later . An attendant will be there and the showers on both mens and womens sides will be open also. We will have 2 portable rent a johns in the camping area instead of one for nightime use. The fairground bathrooms will open earlier on Sunday, that time being 6am . Also the annual Fathers Day Pancake Breakfast will be held at the firehouse on Route 4, just minutes from the fairgrounds beginning at 8AM. Proceeds from the Litchfield Bug IN 25 will go entirely to local charity once again (Bronc Callahan Community Fund). More info to be posted in calendar of events section , theSamba.com.

Better news on the bathrooms. Not perfect, but better. Could we label the port o potties one for men and the other for women? The ladies might like that. _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

I will be coming up from Canada again. I thought I would have seen the show advertised in hot VW magazine this month but was not listed. |

I think I am going this year. Its about 300 miles from my house so I need to sort out the details. I want to drive my oval but I might not be man enough, and I might drag it behind my Jeep. Not sure yet. |
Drive it! We can meet halfway and roll up together. I love this show because it's Father's Day and I always get to go. |
If you guys are driving, dragging or towing your oval windows, I'll bring mine too.
*edit* maybe |
I've decided I'm driving the oval. I might split the ride up and head to NJ and meet up with my in-laws. Casey and Manny that would be great to meet up in a caravan. Word.
**EDIT** Casey that sucks about the 40hp! Bring it down here I can slap it together I will still follow you in that sexy one eight one _________________ Shadetree Westy

Great, now we can display this with the Schwing oval. Hopefully shano63 will be parked close by and can bask in the glory of Flanders gold!

I'm not suprised, Hot VWs has sucked for a long time, I was a 25 year + subscriber, but dropped them 6 or more years ago.
Good to hear the bathroom situation is a little better.... _________________ Tom
