|
|
I was busy uploading pics so I thought I'd share some pics of the Rostyles I'm cleaning up for my bug. They have quite a few rust spots and were covered in a mountain of enamel infront. Rust is right around so it is a tire off deal...
First one was so rusted the PO put an innertube in (wrong sized to boot). I'm glad to
Glad to say its tubeless now.
I stripped the paint, derusted, then coated with zink, before adding primer and paint. Takes me a week per wheel, sigh. _________________ If you can't fix it with a hammer, it is an electrical fault.

Yes, they fit the standard 5 lug, as is.
And yes, I did every surface on the rims. Inside is just gloss black for easy cleaning. I did the guy at the local tyre place a favour, so they take the tyres off, and put them back and balance them as I finish them. _________________ If you can't fix it with a hammer, it is an electrical fault.

Ok, done with wheel number two, and took some pics again.
Started with this
The real thing.
Lots of corrosion, hard to clean up, I also didn;t get the putty perfect when touching it up, but I'm happy with it overall.
Inside also needs to be cleaned.
One coat zink, one coat primer, then painted and cleared _________________ If you can't fix it with a hammer, it is an electrical fault.
