Beautiful Beetle. I didn't know that they still had rag tops in 1967? Maybe it's a European thing. _________________ Owner of a 1970 Beetle. |

It's a standard model "thing". Deluxe models got a steel sunroof starting in 1964 _________________ 1947 Typ 11a

I would check to see if the numbers on your pan and body are the same. |

Clearly a non-USA model. Many '67s that were not destined for the US market had smaller engines, 6V, no 4-ways, older front fenders; the 1500 models had disc brakes and 4-lug ('68-style) wheels, and many other smaller distinctions.
Yours looks to be a legit home-market model for your country. The front turn signals with white lenses and side markers is an Italy thing, from what I've heard. Interesting mix of knobs... white on the window crank handles, black otherwise... not sure that was standard. No gas gauge?
It looks like it has been repainted (wheels, black fender beading). Interesting that the side trim is late thin style, front hood is thicker old style.
Welcome, and post more pics, including the engine bay, dash, headliner. These things may be different than most other markets and from the more common deluxe models.

Ditto on the rag top. I know European model have some differences compare to U.S. imports. But I thought that this option was over years ago. _________________ Owner of a 1970 Beetle. |

A nice ride for sure. _________________ ✠Miklo✠

You have a very nice example, yes they were produced in small numbers in '67, only from January to August 1967.
I used to own a Dutch version but it was a little different...
The fold back Sunroof was an option on the European 1200 Sparkafer/1200A

Standard euro 67 ragtop... Thats awesome! The word "rare" is well overused, but this qualifies. _________________ Justin |
