Is that the fuel pump on the lower left? Just laying on the (looks like) pool float thingy, that appears to be sealed with expanding foam?!?!? _________________ Everything known to man has been written.

Yes...a Holley 'Bugspray' 2-barrel carb & matching manifold. I had one of these on a 1200cc motor in a Ghia once . It was a somewhat common upgrade back in the '60s & '70s. Ran pretty well as I remember.

Looks like an electric pump...the mechanical pump location is blocked off. Seems like they employed some real 'hillbilly engineering' to seal the engine compartment
That engine bay is a real mess, but overall, the car looks like it might have some potential for that price. _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)

Don't even hesitate- get it now. That thing is dripping with mid 70s pep boys hop up. Collect as much history on the car as you can. I'd bet the owner who did all those mods was very proud of it. If I were within 200 miles of that car, it would be in my garage already. _________________
