Does anybody have instructions on how to add a cooler to an A/T in an air cooled Westy? I looked (briefly) last night and didn't see any plugs where lines could go.

I am planning on an SVX swap over the winter and am pretty certain a cooler will be needed...

If you had the trans case apart and had a WBX case to compare, you could see where to drill and tap for a cooler. Short of that, you'd probably be better off finding a WBX auto case and building a new unit.

The aircooled vanagon auto case does not have the drillings you are looking for.

if you are planning a SVX engine conversion you will most likely need to beef up and change some things in your transmission, rsxsr's suggestion is a good one, get a WBX tranny and get it ready for your engine conversion.
