|
|
We received a inquiry about making a replacement Syncro filler part. ( thanks Barry from Werke1 )
It's going to be an exact copy of the original part except that we're going to use modern plastics. At this point in the mold making we have the opportunity to add or not to add a logo, or any script to the part. My thoughts were to add "Syncro" possibly. ( raised, or recessed?)
Looking for input, what do you Syncro owners think? Would you guys even consider buying a replacement filler if it meant that it wouldn't chalk over?
pic for example:

If a logo wasn't used it may sell to those 2x owners looking to add a syncro style fill to an additional tank? maybe a kit for 2x people? |

No Logo.
I painted mine with Plastikote about 7 years ago and it still looks good, but I think it's pretty fragile/brittle. It's nice to know this part will be available. _________________ '87 Syncro passenger w/ 2.2L Subaru

I was lucky enough to have had that grommet for some time now.
It has performed well in the elements and fueling.
The pair will be a well received combo.
Thank you. |

No logo. Would you consider a Doka/SC version? Probably not much demand unless auxiliary tank users want them. The 2wd bezels are a PITA for the average guy to install because of cut-outs. The Fiamma caps being provided with SA SS tank kits are expensive and comes with the wrong logos. _________________ BenT |

Yep. That Seller is Lars from Tristar Connection. Eric knows him too. Although he is a great guy to deal with, a domestic source with newer materials is always welcome. The Fiamma filler is much easier to adapt but not stock looking and has the wrong logos for fuel use. _________________ BenT |
