OK building a trike with a 74 super (I think?)
While im looking for the right front end I am cleaning and painting powder coating parts on the engine.
The question is what tins do I have to keep for sure, While im a noob I understand that an air cooled motor needs air flow but arent some of the tins for sealing to the body?
Ive looked at tons of photos but just because some guys run no tins at all does not make it the correct way. _________________ Having someone else build your car is like having some other guy getting your wife pregnant and then bragging about it |

Lots of folks with buggies and Bajas only use the top cylinder tins. However, I like using ALL the tins. I personally feel that the air get directed better and provides more even cooling around the cylinders. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

Thank you, I was leaning towards all but the rear lower tin, but that would look nice powder coated. HMMM _________________ Having someone else build your car is like having some other guy getting your wife pregnant and then bragging about it |
