71 super beetle

hi everyone, my name is Larry.i live in central fla. new to the board i,ve recently purchased a 71 super beetle that has some electrical/wiring "issues" and did i mention the small engine compartment fire. i,m gonna be needing parts,lots of parts. so far i,ve found JBUGS and CIP1. any feedback on either? can anybody recommend any other suppliers. i,m new to the dubya world so any info would be helpful. thanks in advance

Jbugs is barely acceptable quality. Dont know about cip1. Wolfsburg west gets two thumbs up. Its cheaper to do everything right the first time

www.mtmfg.com is on the East Coast, so I'll order from them if I need something fast
rockauto.com for all the generic stuff (I actually use it to look up part numbers, and then I order from Amazon).

Wolfsburg West is excellent; you pay a bit more, but the cost is worth it when things fit properly the first time and last.

thanks to all for the info and thanks Cletus, fortunately the previous owner included a copy of Bentley,Muir,Chilton,s and Haynes manuals.
