I'm refinishing the engine tins on my Baywindow. Plan is to paint the tin body color.
I did considerable hammer and dolly work but despite that a little filler was required but it was applied very, very thin.

I used Evercoat Metal 2 Metal as it appeared to have greater heat resistance but now I'm having second thoughts.

Has anyone successfully used filler on cylinder tins and if so, what type?

Thanks,
robj

Thin filler shouldn't matter.
Paint the engine gray & black to mimic the OG colors. Idea

Thanks for the info. My bus is going to be "slightly" custom. But, nothing over the top.

The engine is already a bit more than stock and there's going to be some slight changes to the interior so I have a bit of a free hand.
Thanks again,
robj

Powder paint won't stick to filler

Thanks Glenn,

I'm using Acrylic Urethane.

Actually Eastwood does have a filler that will stand up to the temps of powder coating.

It is a bit pricy though.
