Yeah, but three people at a time could use the seat that you were selling. This one's just a single user at a time. Does this mean that it should go for 1/3 of what your seat was up for?

Yea but my LeBarron was fully loaded with red leather, 8-track, 318 motor plastic chrome on the dash and plastic wood grain trim on the outside. Wish i still had it, It would make a great speedster if I cut the top off.

No shit! Pun intended. Gives a whole new meaning to "going to the can" anyway, I have a 1950's galvanized trash can that looks almost identical to the bottom half of the Westy toilet and am thinking of having the wooden seat duped by the wood shop teacher at my wifes school. Probably have a "C" note in the whole thing done and when it's under the bench seat in the Westy who the fuck is going to know the difference. Not a whole lot different than those new steel repro pressed bumpers Alex at ISP West has for sale. It's times like this that I always fall back on the wit and wisdom of Ben Franklin......"a fool and his money are soon parted" as timeless today as when he said it originally!

well i just added it all up, and its gunna cost at least $1,011 to get Trouble up and running again. that isnt including tires, motor, or the main tranny seal either. or whatever else that old bus will need to get driving again. hope that damn toilet sells! i already got a couple of e-mails... gotta get some pics up!

kinda sad when you see someone parting a bus he just bough to fix it.

there should definately be a rule somewhere that you can only buy a bus if you can actually fix it.

and 3000$? i would expect better from someone with no knowledge of Split.

dude - how are you leaving off the costs of an ENGINE and TIRES when trying to figure out how much its going to cost to get on the road? you arent getting very far without either one of those.

also, a tranny main shaft seal is $0.79, so you should be able to scrape that much change outta the bus. then its $0.79 you dont have to worry about down the line.

Oh and as for bryanm having it bad, just remember he lives near GBG so his gods made up for their wrongs when he was younger.

I gotta ask... When you pay $500 for a bus that's been sitting probably about as long as you've been alive, did you think you could just put a battery in it and drive? It will definitely need brakes, tanks cleaned out, tires, and some engine work. Not to mention anything that's unusual to this bus (like was it parked for a reason?)...

And not including engine and tires, what adds up to a grand?
