Thanks to Matt(mammbush) and Eric(middleburgebus64)the bus is now sitting in my garage waiting for me to get back.
New info: The bus has some pretty cool history, the logo's were painted by a famous?? pop art sketch artist named "greyhound".
I was told he was a painter that did paintings of musicians and also did album cover art back in the day. I got this info in an email from the lady that owned it back then.
The bus use to be a traveling bar for the capital pub, it still has numerous items inside it from then. They took it around to festivals and stuff as a mobil bar. Kinda cool I guess. I think with it's history I will leave it the way it is and just bring it back to reliable and safe road worthy driving condition and roll it. |

Now that I am back in the states I have started the long road of getting it back on the road.
Pictures soon.
It has the spring loaded steps at the driver and passenger doors, anybody interested in them? I'm thinking of taking them off. Would trade them or sell them. |

I would be interested in those steps. I can buy them or trade from my vast inventory of splittie parts and accessories. |

Why would it be "hack" work? It is a VW restoration shop that will be doing the cab floor.
The bus is actually pretty damn solid for the amount of time it spent sitting, and there isnt another one like it here.
If, thats if I sold it Uzi thats damn close on the money. |

And I really don't see how metal repair that is done well can be called a "hack job".
That's just silly... |

I recieved your email and a few others from other people. I'll get back with them in order.
Like I said, I'm not dying to sell it but I would if the money was right. My plan always has been to just make it a driver not fully restore it and just roll it.
The sunroof assembly should be here by teusday. :D |

I'm a little late to this forum but I just want to say welcome to the world of rare standard/kombi sun roof buses. I love 11 window buses. 23/21 I think are played out. Your bus is a great start and I wish mine was an early split likeyours. I have a 65 standard rag(Factory sun roof model 225)and I love it. Keep us posted with pic.
