I'd always prefer stock over lowered I just needed to get it out of my system...these things are like our girlfriends...if they don't keep you horny you get rid of them.

Bus looks awesome at stock height. Hope you enjoy it as much as lowered.

Actually...plugged your old Kombi 36hp engine in it and driving around nicely while the Okrasa is getting its burnt piston issue sorted.

Are those WW OK heads? From this angle it may be hard to tell but they look like early low rise 36 OK heads?

gatorwyatt Sat Jan 17, 2015 5:34 am

They are original Okrasa heads. The whole kit is original as well.

Nice Todd! Glad to see this bus again, even though I like it at any height you have it.

Just updating this with a installed shot of the engine. Pretty much went through the entire engine. New bearings all new machine surfaces, new cam and Clyde Berg did a very thorough job on the heads. It runs great. I did some other freshening up also.

I also finally got around to recovering the middle seat to match the front and rear. The front seat in this bus was the very first cover Matt Miller made and the info I supplied while redoing the 58' Binz I did in the early 2000's was what helped get those proper and correct material covers in circulation. You are welcome!

this bus is worth about a billion dollars

The updates come a little slower these days but I’m always digging for things to do. I had been in contact with the great Mark L to sew up a new and PROPER cover for the bus for a good few years but it finally made its way into the next steps...
It seems the specific blue vinyl went out of production and I had to dig around the country to find the suppliers that still had some. Found a few yards in upstate NY. Sent it to Mark and had him sew up the cover and the interior headliner. He was coming to Florida for a vacation and did a mini side trip to come hang for the day and install it. Needless to say it makes the bus a whole different level. Thanks again Mark!

Nice!

Your Bus has a drink tray? Of course it should, it's used by a Pub, you need a place for drinks
