The Sun definitely shines bright on you. Those things don't just start popping up. Unless its brought up in a "rare" thread.

Ive got all the scanned copied info to duplicate the manual that came with these. When I get the chance Ill make some and spread the wealth.

Thanks Jason. A copy of the manual would be real handy, as this set doesn't have one. Could you let me know about that? I was surprised that this set popped up. I was at the hospital with mom, and surfing my iPhone, when it suddenly appeared. What option did I have? Had to grab it. Fair price too.

When I get on my feet Ill get some pics of mine, some copies made of the manny then we can have a nerdorium on it all. See about that elec cord thing and a good shot of the air hose.

I dont necessarily think that the cord has been changed. Every one that I have seen has the cigarette plug on it. My silver socket is original, and I also have the original silver socket to cigarette plug adapter; I think this combo was intended to be used with the adapter. Will be doing some research.

Yea, I think the Westy owners manuals actually specifically mention it. Like it says something like "using the adapter" or "with adapter"

Being Coleman, is the compressor made in USA and VWoA specific I wonder? ? If so that explains the manual refering to an adaptor to go between the silver socket and the 12v plug. If that is the case, I wonder what they got with the spare tyre in Germany? Just the can of tyre weld I bet! Nice score by the way Westfabulous, a real sniper

Yes, I agree with the theory; that was my belief too. Sniper....haha....I try. I have secured some pretty good stuff over the years. I am definitely a trinket miner; there are quite a few of us, but many of the ones that I know on The Samba keep a very low profile. Kirk, Notchy, and myself....well, that's a whole different story.

Just picked up an original Manchester propane instruction leaflet. Probably not that rare but I've been looking for one for a while. This trinket mining is pretty fun! So...anyone have an original Sapphire XIV manual they want to part with?

I dont have a radio manual, but I have all other 1979 relevant manuals and extra leaflets if anyone needs a copy of something. I have some somewhat unusual stuff too. Nothing too exciting though.

Was there a specific pamphlet on the propane stove operation?

Yes indeed, and warranty papers too, as I recall. Lemme know if you want copies. I'll scan them.

Of course, perhaps I can post what I have and if anyone wants scanned copies, I can do that for them....except for big owners manuals and stuff like that. I ask for nothing in return. I am happy to help anyone that I can here.

AB westy nut Fri Jan 27, 2012 2:58 pm

You could just scan them and have them posted in the Technical section. Then they're there for everyone. Either way, I appreciate your efforts!

Westfabulous Fri Jan 27, 2012 3:22 pm

Here you go bigbore and A B Westy Nut...and anyone else. I have two original copies of this, and I am happy to share scans for free. If there is a trinket miner out there like me, who wants an original copy, I would sell one, but be warned, I will be looking for stupid money for this item. In fact, I am happy to keep it. For now, I am happy to share the scans.

In return, if someone could get me scan of the 1974 Coleman / VW air pump manual, I would be grateful. Enjoy.

Everett, please feel free to use these as donated by me.

I've never seen factory documentation of the burner removal tool before. Awesome.

Glad you like it....it is a very spezzzzzial tool. I have lots of really good original literature, and I am happy to share it with folks, but I have put in a ton of time and money getting this stuff, and I am not sure that I am ready to just give it all up, and spend hours scanning it for the general populous. Selfish I know, but helping the odd guy would be a pleasure, for now.
