why would you run this in a transaxle , that's not what it was designed for .
just chucking it out there all you got to do is read just a little bit.
from the link above . Joe Gibbs driven
GL-4 protects yellow metals and provides proper synchronization to prevent clashing in synchronized manual transmissions.
Best suited for use in classic muscle car manual transmissions such as Muncie where yellow metals are a concern and GL-4 gear oils are preferred.
For rear ends/differentials consider Driven GP-1 GL-5 80W-90 over this product as it contains higher levels of extreme pressure additives and limited slip.
Formulated with high-quality conventional base oils.
DRIVEN GO 80W-90 Conventional GL-4 Gear Oil is formulated for Classic Vehicle/High Performance/Racing applications only.

I don't find a specifical answer for drag racing use.
What would be recommended to use in a type1 swingaxle, with a spool, for drag racing only use?
I bought the car with the trans already done I don't really know what the builder recommended to use.
Being in Belgium, I don't have all US Brands, but I can have Redline and Lucas oil easily.
Thanks. |
