The photo is of a die cast model, but the car is for real. I did search for an actual photo of the car, but this shot was better. |

1950 Cisitalia 202 Aerodinamica Cassone.
That's my nomination for name of a car that is the most fun to say. :D |

If it had been a picture of the actual car and not a model in the first place, I would have gotten it right away.
Who hasn't heard of a Cisitalia 202 Aerodinamica Cassone!? :D |

Eh, the lack of an oil pool and fallen off parts underneath the car threw me off as to its Italian origins.

Yes, there seems to be quite a large damp spot coming out from under the driver's door in the photo of the real car! |

Fuzzy picture, yeah, but what the hell is that on the roof? A WWII radio direction finder? |

Since no one will probably ever figure this one out I'll tell.
Its a 1946 Beechcraft Plainsman. Built by the Beechcraft airplane people and used a horizontally opposed 4 cylinder air cooled engine in the back!
Its really pretty cool when you consider the styling was about 6 years ahead of what everyone else was building in 1946. |
