so i went to canada last weekend. enjoyed taking maisy up and driving all over with her. :D got a few pictures, but gotta upload them.

got my horn fixed with Dale and my hella driving lights wired up, and i like them! those and my high beams keep a lot of people out of in front of me when im driving. :D

next on the list is the transmission...should be done here in the next week or two...just waiting on Matt at AA transaxle to get er done. :)

also got a set of 27x8.5x14 tires with rims off the broken shop van at peacevans....done and done, got a set of fairly new tires all ready to roll! got a nasty hum to them due to uneven wear, but im gonna do my best with them, so whatever. also have a temp gauge to install, im thinking about brakes and front ball joints soon, and i gotta find a steering box....

also posted in beckler thread, but i want to post the trip we just took here as well....

fueling up for takeoff:

stopped to check out the water....:

top of the mountain, stopped for lunch and a dance party (played fun music and danced to it through my sound system)

cool:

also kinda cool:

stopped at the river where i would like to get a group together to camp at:

from across the river:

more cool:

make a wrong turn and had to turn back due to downed trees:

and BEST OF ALL!

found a super legit campsite off a side trail (litterally, not a road) that was absolutely awesome! easily get a good 2-6 busses and a bonfire and be out far enough to get left alone! quite a cool spot, i must say. panoramic shot for effect:

we gotta go camping sometime guys! those of you who like your paint may not like that spot i found though....the bushes were a tad thick...

Stuart's back folks!

Haven't seen much of you round these parts lately - must be out breaking stuff on the bus!

That campsite looks awesome - I'm jealous.

Remember - that box-pail is a test of how you treat things. Every ounce of your bus needs to be taken care of. Its not just a car but a responsibility of ownership. You hurt your bus, you hurt the hobby as a whole. If you don't care about such things then I underestimated you as a caretaker in our hobbies past and history leaving little hope for your future.

In all of life - you are the future, not I. If your values are skewed to use and deplete then our discussion is through. If you are up to the task of caretaker and historian - then my choice of giving you the box was straight and true.

Keep this in mind as a bus and ACVW owner. Its all up to you to embrace or use as if all the events leading up to your involvement never mattered.

secretsubmariner Fri Sep 12, 2014 7:37 am

Good luck dude! Stay safe! And take some pictures!

cdennisg Fri Sep 12, 2014 7:45 am

I know the river road from Ellensburg south to Yakima is beautiful. And you might double check on route 410 heading into Mt Baker park. It was recently closed for a landslide, but it may have been reopened by now.

RONIN10 Fri Sep 12, 2014 8:51 pm

The missus and I are planning to drive out Sunday am so we should see you there. Stay safe and don't break anything (on the bus).
