today i got the news fresh from the lottermanns, even if my car would be stock high, they don´t want it there, because it is too rusty
would be interesting to see if marks bus will be allowed there, or even scottys?! |

That's the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard.
The VW scene famous for being varied and welcoming. Ahh well apparently not anymore!

Space issue???
There was loads of space on the main field on 07!!!!
If rust is a factor for not allowing busses in then that's a sad state of affairs.
There was a rumour that "rusty busses" wouldn't be allowed at hessisch oldendorf but the streets were rammed with every type of condition bus/Vw.... |

Seems indicative of the same crowd the spends thousands of dollars on restorations, never actually doing any of it themselves, and they get pissed when a rusty driver gets more attention then thier high dollar trailer queens. Sucks. But I don't really hang with that crowd anyway. |

That means I'm out then, even though I was welcomed there with my rusty bus in 2007...... |

I would think any Barndoor would be invited, I say bail on it, and tell everyone you know. |

the irony is that it was always "this is the last bad camberg" and everyone would be bummed, then the organizers do something to run off arguably the rarer and more interesting aspects of the event: the barndoors. |

Every one coming up is the last one. It's a running theme. |

Couple of questions.
It seems odd to list lowering and rust and not to just rule out modification. I might take a Baja barndoor with a roof chop and suicide doors covered all over with filler and painted with chalkboard paint... Well I haven't broken any rules have I?
Secondly- how are they going to inforce this? Blockaids with tough nut security guards? |

you have to register first, with a picture of your car and then they decide, if you can go on the "show ground" or not!
btw. these guys aren´t that vw big enthusiasts anymore, thats long gone. if you only would know, how they handle some of there own cars and how there knowlege is about..
alltogether its more trying to keep the spirit alive... |
