you can drive on a permit on sunday but after 7 pm you cant on any day

we just had a permit for the black one its 28days no nites, nothing said about no sundays?

damo99 Thu Oct 27, 2011 6:17 pm

read the law regarding permits on vic roads web site or ring police station
it is actualy only to take car to get repaired for rwc ,not picking up parts ect
i have been booked twice now with one($1200 fine unreg no insurance) first time was going to pick up rwc and i stoped a a shop to buy a drink .police pulled me up at shop and got booked .toke it to court both times and was told the rules regarding permits (you can't do much with them).
it's not worth the risk ,thats why i got a trade plate(a lot more leanient on where it can be driven).
i am not the only one that has been booked that i know ,i have heard sevral stories about peole being booked (with permits)for having passengers, dogs,
stoping to do shoping ,even filling up with petrol at a servo, the list goes on .
and pleading ignorant doesn't usually work
just a freindly warning ,you might get away with it ,but i don't think it's worth it,. anyway this is my garage

thats sick! revenue raising as usual.

Getting sick of this shit to be honest. come on wtf! getting book for getting fuel!!

This country is a joke!

1200 for unreg and ??no insurance?? what insurance got to do with it?

I can safely say more than 50% of people I know don't buy insurance. Since when can you get booked for not having any?

In California, if you got pulled over and they found all those tools in your car, You certainly would get questioned by the Police! LOL!

Awesome dog, I love bullies.

vlad01 Fri Oct 28, 2011 12:15 am

how is that possible? no one has ever shown proof that its mandatory nor any of the vicroads, or road worthy people saying anything about it.

So what about those people who insurance companies turn down? due to driver age and car discrimination etc...?

I am looking at getting insurance (3rd party) from Shannon's as they recon my car and my age should be fine.

my car has some small mods, suspension upgrades, transmission change and a non matching engine number.

Its just been a royal PITA to even find some company to are willing to insure the car with these changes. :? But if its true about the whole illegal without insurance business, then I am pissed as! :x

stock engine, with extractors and 66mm throttle body and a custom tune.

suspension is all a mix of superpro and nolthane bushes and nolthane adjustable strut tops.

Front brake pads a ferodo sports/semi race pads. They are green and I know little about them. I think they are a NLA item.

Also I has a manual conversion.

Thats all my car has.

Yes, you will wonder just as much as I did about that one :?:

you have insurance every time you register a car .
if you look at the breakdown in payments on your rego you will find you only pay about 20% is reg the rest of the $650 is insurance(t a c )

as for the bullys i have another witch is 16 years old ,milly the one in the picture is only a pup at 2 1/2 years old .
i am after a good dog(bully) to put over my bitch(milly)when she comes on heat next if you know a good dog (has to have a good nature)

your thinking of the wrong insurance ,public liability everyone has when they register a car not 3rd party fire and theft or full comprohensive

650 buks! wow you city people get flogged good as.

mine costs full price 399 but only cost me 260 coz i have a pension card lol :P and yes 12 months.

btw, I was in the shed before just having a think sesh. when I randomly decided to buff a patch of paint on my notch with a dry cloth and a dab of wax. then I tried a section on my commy's boot, no dice. I hate metallic paint for a good reason :? still dull as sandpaper.

how is this for 40 year old paint, the original untouched is on the left on the bonnet.

Shinny!!! :o
