Great finds! I’m thinking of getting my butt in gear and finally doing something with my oval! These pics are great!

Just been lifted down from the barn loft it's been in since 1999, hence the platform.

1956 Canada Custom - 10 years ago when I bought it. Originally Polar Silver/Brick Red but with an Edmonton Oilers paint scheme ... apparently it was a parade car back in the day.

Couple pics emailed to me from the seller.

Couple pics in day light for the 1st time in a while.

Bumping this thread. I recently “found” my 1954 as I needed to move it from its long time resting place under a roof beside a garage into a barn. The brakes were not locked up. The engine turns. E brake works still. I need to find time for this little lady!

Bought this Oval to restore as a replica of a car I built up in the 80's, it was already on a '69 pan and in a very sad state.

Was driving by and seen just the back window through the trees. Stopped in and talked with the owner and asked him if it was alright if we went back and looked at it. I noticed that it hadn't been registered on the road since 1977. He told me that he was just getting ready to take it to the scrapyard because he wanted it out of his yard. His father who is 90 showed up and started telling me a bunch of stories about him driving it during the winter of 1977 with no heat. Really nice family.
I decoded the engine and the vin, and both of them come back to february 1956.

Nice score! How's the overall condition rust-wise?

The top picture is as found in a Las Vegas, NV tow yard. It's a November 1956 built oval convertible. The other pics are after the fiberglass Baja kit was removed and fenders, hood, decklid and a top frame were added. It still has a long way to go, but it will be rebuilt.

That's awesome!!! Do you have a build thread started for this?

Yes, I did start a build thread, but it is pretty boring so far. Basically, I have been gathering the sheet metal and the missing part to make it whole again. I did order the birth certificate so now I know the original colors. Here is a link if you are interested.
