I may be slow, but at least another Sub Hatch Westy will be back on the road (with all new German brakes, hard lines, soft lines, cylinders, new dual MC, new new new new blah blah blah) :D

In the veign of "pics or it didn't happen" here is a sequence showing The Hatch during the first test drive in more than 20 years....

To say I'm stoked would be an understatement :D

Update again on the 63 Subhatch found rotting in the desert, found in 2003, it is 2012 and here is the slow progress (kids, work, life, all get in the way). Here is The Hatch at the paint shop (finally).

Ten years later, my kids made me old :D

The paint color is the same as my 66 that I sold to a guy who took it to Ireland. I changed the color scheme a little bit, with red inside, and red windows, my 66 was more classic white over red.

I love the color, so much I had to do it again. Here are some pictures of my 66 custom combi called "The Shizz", I miss her something fierce.

Sorry that you disapprove, lucky for me, I get to drive it! You don't like the color, or the scheme or the job itself?

Let me first say that the paint job was CHEAP, and I needed to get color on it. My son and I will enjoy camping in The Hatch, and I personally love the color and scheme.

To each his own, and it's better than the bus going to the crusher 10 years ago. :D

Wait till you see it with the full camber interior, and the seats re-upholstered by none other than "The Professor" Bill May.

I love the paint scheme...I like how you changed the scheme up a bit. Still retains the traditional bus motif but still a little unique.
