Yeah the dash and roof over hang are the main give away. It looks like late 50's. Still a very desirable bus! They would make a great team together

'58 I believe, and yes it's on thanks to Patrics help 8)

So I've recently moved to Norway from the UK and like most, if not all new folk here, I did a trip to Sweden to stock up on food and booze. As a tourist/barndoor fanboy, it was quite exciting for me to drive past this sign for the first time.

Not really sure what my neighbours think of me!? 8)

Who'd have thought that a wet and cold March day would be a "nice day for a drive" 8)

Greenlaning at its best. Love the roof rack - you could sleep up there!

Ok, it's rough for sure and of course it's not a Barndoor so I'll go easy on the photos here, but it is now at home in the shed thanks to all the help from Patric, Dai and Al.

Oh, and the really good news ........... it's turned out to be a Mid-March '55 bus, just a couple of weeks into post Barndoor production 8)

 Ready for the next epic build

Due to some pretty crappy personal reasons I have decided to put the mighty Tocksfors panel up for sale :( I'm asking £60k or nearest offer which I think is pretty good value for such a well built and rare bus. If anyone is interested then feel free to hit me up by email, PM or by phone. I really hope this bus finds a good home ...............

Ben mate that was the best hour I have spent reading for a long time.

I would say this has to be an inspiration for us to get a barndoor,

This one will sell in no time, I'm sure

Will keep following

All the best Scotty

Thank you dude. Appreciate it

busben Thu Jun 29, 2017 11:59 am

So this was sold, but the "buyer", (a local guy from the Taunton area, here in Somerset  ),was an idiot and has bought something else, stitching two of us up in the process :? Still, onwards and upwards eh, I'm happy to consider offers now, and you might be surprised at the numbers that I'd listen to at this current time. Try your luck or you'll never know

Well this old girl finally got collected last month and made her way to the happy new owner. A sad day for me, but a good home for the bus I think 8)

Thanks to Oli and Ben, & Mark Spicer, for stepping in and helping to fix some glaring metal work "faux pas" ready for the new owner. They shouldn't have had to help me out with this  , but they did 'cos they're ace!

What an incredible story. This has been the most inspiring rescue and restoration mission on this forum for me. Fantastic effort and dedication throughout. Lets hope the thread continues to be updated by the new owner. Thanks for the inspiration, Ben. Hero.
