I just ordered one for my buses. Can't wait to use it on the way to and from "Funfest" next weekend.
For the best long-term use, is it best to store this type of sheet magnet material away from metal (not always on a bus) or is it best to remove and store flat until ready to use again??? What makes them stay magnetic and "stickier" longer?

I bought some 1/2" by 1/8" flat round neodymium rare earth magnets and position them around the sign to make it stick better.
Like this:
http://search.ebay.com/neodymium
Or, http://forcefieldmagnets.com/catalog/
I like the 3/8 x 1/16 discs for sticking sheets of stuff to metal surfaces. They're just strong enough to stick well. |

| Are they strong enough to hold an emblem on the front of a bus? |

It depends upon how many you use!
For an emblem, I would use something a bit stronger, like the 1/2 diameter by 1/4 thick magnets. Four of those would attach an emblem quite securely. |

Magnets like to be stuck to metal. I keep my magnetic signs stuck to the side of my refrigerator when not in use. |

Not a Slow Moving Vehicle magnet but I thought I'd share one that I had designed and made up!

| Good to see you are making these for the masses now! I love having mine when my bus was running and know it will come in handy when the "new" bus gets up and running. Keep up the good work Ollie! |

| Did anybody pick one up at OCTO this weekend? The guy only had 6 and I did get one. Problem is it doesn't really stick that well (I didn't try it until I got home). Curious if anybody else has the same lack of magnetism issue, or if I'm doing something wrong. |

Love mine on my '65
It definately helps on interstate travel, ESPECIALLY at night. This thing reflects FOREVER. |

I got mine 1+ year ago and it sticks perfect!
I also love mine.

Mine sticks so well I managed to put a 1" tear in it, where one of the triangles joins! (Totally my fault by the way, I whipped it off in a rush. ) I've got an og paint bus though. We tried my magnet on a friends recently restored barndoor, and it wouldn't stick at all, due to the filler used in the warped decklid to get it smooth. |

Perhaps you have some bondo or thick paint issue, or maybe it's just the magnet. Does it stick well on other metal?
