It's been 1 year and 9 months
since bending 4 valves and re-OIL-ringing the 2010 EJ25.
Seems like only yesterday...
I can report 25,000 miles with the HastingsĀ® oil rings and it still doesn't drink a drop of oil in 5,000 miles.
Here's the vid of removing the flywheel to change the new FelPro rear main seal that lasted only the first 80 miles.
That was a hassle, but we were on the road the next day with a new genuine SubaruĀ® seal.
Could it have been a FelPro counterfeit (from Amazon)?
The packaging all looked legit.
Anyway the engine is running great. |

My FelPro rear main seal leaked on start up. So 80 miles is a huge improvement.
Glad to hear your engine is still running like a top! |

Glad to hear your engine is still running like a top! Isn't it a shame, FelPro used to be the people that solved everyone elses' leak problems with seals and gaskets. :( |
