Up for sale is a one of a kind 1968 Double Cab. I am selling it for one of my close associates who lives in Denver as well. The truck is currently located in Costa Rica, Central America. Originally purchased from VW in Costa Rica, this truck has spent all of it's life in the tropics. It is currently setup as a mobile BBQ and has everything needed to sell food on the beach. My associate has owned this truck for the last 4 years and has fixed it up during that time.
Things he has done include:
Rebuilt 2L Type 4 motor with a J-15 Datsun carburetor
Rebuilt transmission
Bodywork gone through and painted
Custom rear hoop setup
Thule surf rack
400watt power converter
Aluminum Mercedes rims and newer Kumho tires
Custom walkthrough feature, aka. no bulkhead
Custom sunroof
Original back seat
Front disk brakes with working booster
Custom alternator
Gas tank cleaned out with new filters
New Bosch fuel pump
Bosch blue coil with 009 and electronic points
Solar hot water shower
Has all taxes(Marchamo) paid for 2012 and has current technical revisions(revision technica) test paid until May 2013
Clean Costa Rican Registry title

The truck still needs some work, such as a replacement dashboard and door panels, or whatever you fancy. Also, the windshield wiper linkage just broke and some rear body work could be done. A canvas top for the bed could be made locally in Costa Rica. Truck has just been gone through and runs extremely well. Pictures are current. We are offering a couple different options if you are interested in this Truck.
