anyone have torque specs for the following
For 71 std beetle - Manual Transmission
- Rear trans/motor mounts to the carrier
- Rear trans/motor mounts to the transmission
- Front Transmission mount to the pan
- Front Transmission mount to the transmission

ok, still a little confused on what the torque specs are for the rear rubber mounts to the carrier (frame) is that considered the "Shock Absorber"? _________________ 1971 VW Beetle (std) owned for 18 years, driven for 12 . ... . currently under re-construction  |

buy a bentley manual. it has all the torque specs. _________________

I have the Bentley manual .... I guess I looking for the proper name. It doesn't just say, rear mounts to carrier or frame. _________________ 1971 VW Beetle (std) owned for 18 years, driven for 12 . ... . currently under re-construction  |

I see what you mean, looks like around 20 would be reasonable but I don't want you to be unsafe. I forget what I settled on but it was likely between 20-25. |

Better than me. I just put mine on tightly The mounts did not appear to be as critical thing to get torqued as the head or oil pan... _________________ '71 Super 'Vert
