anyone have torque specs for the following

For 71 std beetle - Manual Transmission

- Rear trans/motor mounts to the carrier
- Rear trans/motor mounts to the transmission
- Front Transmission mount to the pan
- Front Transmission mount to the transmission

ok, still a little confused on what the torque specs are for the rear rubber mounts to the carrier (frame) is that considered the "Shock Absorber"?

buy a bentley manual. it has all the torque specs.

I have the Bentley manual .... I guess I looking for the proper name. It doesn't just say, rear mounts to carrier or frame.

I see what you mean, looks like around 20 would be reasonable but I don't want you to be unsafe. I forget what I settled on but it was likely between 20-25.

Better than me. I just put mine on tightly Smile The mounts did not appear to be as critical thing to get torqued as the head or oil pan...
