Maybe not the best, but the safest. Remove the door panel, undo the two 6mm bolts holding the window to the winder mechanism, carefully lower the window to the bottom of the door, pull the upper channel felt(nearest the vent window) out for about 6" - 8", remove the screw, leave felt pulled out, remove the 6mm bolt holding the vent window frame, carefully pull the vent window assy back (top first) and wiggle the vent window assy out. Removing the inner scraper makes this easier, for getting it past the rubber scrapers can be tricky but it will go. There is a metal tab on the vent frame that the 6mm bolt went into and it invariably will want to hang up. Once the vent window frame is out, carefully lift the window out through the opening. Installation is reverse. Some do not drop the window down to the bottom, I have seen (personally done) several windows break while getting the vent window frame out due to stress on the glass. Tempered glass makes a heck of a mess.

Carefully! The inner scraper is rather simple. The outer is all one peiece. Once the window and vent are out remove the felt channel. Come under the lip of the scraper from inside the door with a flat pry stick (nylon) or a screwdriver and pop the scraper off. Slowly work the chrome off the door. Just work slowly.

Seems like I remember it being very tough to remove the glass with the scrapers in. I think I disconnected the glass, dropped it into the bottom of the door and then removed the felt and scrapers. The glass comes out much easier with the scrapers and felt channels removed. I also remember inventing a few new cuss words while doing that job.

The vent felt will come out with the vent window assy, the top/side felt does not have to come out for you will clear it with the vent asy out. Removing the inner scraper makes the job easier, good point. Would rather not pull the outer when doing a window exchange, course he is also swapping scrapers so might as well get it out of the way.

Don't forget to remove the winder mechanism, not to get the window out, but always good to have a spare hanging around.
