I have a method where I take gen style linkage bits and cut one piece with hacksaw and then mig weld it back with the slotted end for the throttle shaft oriented correctly... one other minor mod to the threaded screw hole and wallah! ....Alt linkage. I do them in batches of about 8 or ten... With more and more people converting to alternators and original alt style linkage in short supply I had to figure something out

Does that mean that you have some of these on hand? Would you be willing to part with one for a price?

What's the prob with using a spacer between carb and intake to raise the carb enough to clear the Alt?

Does everyone with an alternator and a 34-3 have their linkage and cam like what Glenn's pic shows. I took mine apart and couldn't get it to look like that. The cam had to be reversed and did not look like the photo. Did Solex make a spicific cam for an alternator 34-3 carb aplication?

No. I dont think there is a cam you can put on your 34 pict 3 carb that will clear the alt. Get a diff. carb or start doing some judicious grinding.

Yes there is a specific linkage made for alternator...

And to answer the question: "Where can you get the specific linkage for a Bocar 34pict3 to clear the alternator?"..........???

To answer my own question.

It works just fine. Just finished a nice long road trip this past weekend.
