Evening All!
O.K., the final pieces of the puzzle finally arrived yesterday.
Here they are, Stock T3 Disc Brake Spindles, all the way from Washington! You can see that Bob already has the Wide 5 spacer set up in place, (that he received from Chris last week), and is getting ready to "Git 'er Done!".
Bob's been chompin' at the bit, wanting to get his Wide 5 Disc brake conversion done, so, let's begin.....

He had to modify the caliper mount a bit, to be sure it would clear the steering arm:
So far so good....

Sorry, long day. Always gotta be a Smart A** in the group, today, it just happens to be Me!
Here, Bob is doing a test fit, to be sure the caliper clears the Tie Rod end:

OOOOOhhhhh!!! Shiney!!
Here's a shot with the new rotor installed:
Bob reused "Wolfie's" original steering arms, inner bearings and races, instead of the Chinese replacements. Though he did have to use the new outer bearings and races, cuz "Wolfie's" were shot....

"New" front tires on:
Sorry Jack, still rusty, but, hey, they are "Wolfie's" original tires and wheels. We'll get the rims cleaned up and put some new rubber on eventually....
This is "Wolfie's" NOS (spare) rim/tire, made in Germany, Fulda brand, bias ply, on the front passenger side.
This is one of the OE/OG tires and rims on the front driver's side.

Oops! Almost forgot.
Yes, Lord Vader,
While Bob was working in there, "Wolfie" DID get a bit of an altitude, er, I mean Attitude adjustment!
His name is "Wolfie" after all, can't have him "priss-ing" around on "tippy toes", just little lower, like he's on the "Prowl".

I'm not sure I am Vader worthy anymore. I have a  stock engine in one of my cars now.

It's not stock, you Fyeonized the fuel system.

Brian,
Even in the movies, Vader, occasionally, showed he had a "soft" spot. With a beautiful wife and two wonderful little girls, how can you not?

Yes, I had mine, until I test fitted them. It was all because I moved the caliper mount bracket up. If I had done it like all of those before me, I wouldn't have bothered doing the mock up. But, I wanted a little more meat around the bolt holes that I was drilling into the spindle.
I was however really surprised at how easy the conversion was, once you got the caliper mount attached. Sure, I spread doing that part out over 2 days, but still, I probably could have knocked that part out in a day. And if I had the hydraulics already done (like on a running driving car), that part would have been finished too. But in my case, the master cylinder is still in the rear trunk, the fluid jug is in the cabinet, along with the blue hoses, and the new front hard lines and soft hoses are in the trunk as well. So it still needs to be finished plumbing.
But looking at how much room is available, it looks like I could easily go with some aluminum 5 spoke aftermarket rims (like John J's drawing he did for Russ). We'll see though, as I've still got a bunch of other stuff to do. But it's getting closer to moving under it's own power.

Thanks Joe and Brent.
And for today, here's some more pics. I installed the master cylinder and new brake lines and hoses, along plumbing the rez into the system. I also installed the new steering dampener too.
Now the fuel tank is in and bolted this time. It got plumbed top and bottom.
I'm not quite happy with the way the fuel tank vent line is set up though, and I might end up changining it.
Also, here's a couple of shots for Jack.
