Looks like I'm headed back first 2 weeks of August. Not sure what mom's plans are, but I plan on fixing windows and sorting out the stuff in the shop with lots of tags and pictures.

Marilyn just called me, Mark is supposed to arrive there next week. There had been talk of a few folks offering to assist Mark out in the shop. Marilyn is trying to find out how many intend to make it, so she can get things ready.
Maybe you could PM Mark, and see if he still needs the help.
Bob and I will not be able to make it at this time, as we have company coming in from Texas and Connecticut. _________________ Sue

I spoke with Mark about a month back and told him I would help find buyers if needed to help get $ in Marilyns hands as soon as possible.
I would hope anyone in need of parts would purchase as quick as possible to help move stuff as quick as possible for maks and anyone elses helpings sake.
Keep us posted. _________________

The 69 fired right up, haven't tried the 73 yet. Getting situated and fixing stuff on the house right now. Probably start tackling the shop when it cools down later this week. One of the neighbors came by to look at the truck, panel and then looked at the fastbacks. Not sure what they're worth, but mom threw out some numbers. She looks at them as old junkers.

Mark,
I am interested in certain items, and I can help with pricing of the others. Can you make a list of what you feel you should sell? I know you have a handle on the shop tools and milling stuff, but the parts we could help you with.
The reality is that Ebay will have it gone fast, The Samba will expose it to a captive market... _________________ Feel My Pain l Sage Ad World |

Actually your mom knows what your dad paid for them. It was good seeing you and your mom again last week. I still haven't seen Rob, to let him know about that Fastback, but I expect to see or hear from him over the weekend (he's been on vacation on the east coast with his wife). We got back late sunday night. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Mark, I talked to your mom yesterday, and she's going to hold that car for him/us. That's 1 less you'll need to move. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Which car? Still sorting through all these tools. Trying to get a paint match for the snap-on KR537/577 combo he had. I swear he emptied his pockets of small nuts/bolts/washers and just dumped them in the box, it was half full of small parts. The jacks that were in the weeds were an Ausco D7400 and an older Hein-Werner WS 1 1/2 ton. Mom put them in the shop for now. I'll probably rebuild them.
The 73 and the 69 are now both parked inside.

Due to my own personal issues I am just finding out about Russ' passing. Condolences to Mark and his wife. Russ' posts have proved invaluable to me in getting my T3's sorted and his contributions will be missed. RIP. |

The 66 Fastback, that's parked outside next to the shop. The white/light beige one with the red front fenders and no motor. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

When you planning on getting it? I'm thinking I may fly back for a couple days + a weekend. I can fly out Wed return Sunday and dedicate some time to the shop in the next few weeks.

Probably not this year. I've already done more road tripping than I planned for the year. Plus Rob starts a new job monday, so I doubt he'll be able to take any time off in the near future. At this time, I just don't know when I'll get out there again. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Mark,
I think I have some time in October that I can come out and help. October 20 and 21, or possibly the week before on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Would you like some help? _________________ Feel My Pain l Sage Ad World |

20/21 sounds good. I'll need to get a plane ticket back there.

I know I won't be out that weekend, as I'm going bird hunting that weekend with a bunch of old friends. Sorry guys, can't make it this time. Maybe next year after the T-3 Invasion, or possibly even before it. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
