Finally found the right oval. It's an unrestored 56 with a Judson supercharger. Took me a full day to polish the paint. Turned out pretty well.

The interior is original but the exterior had a laquer respray, in close to the original colour. many moons ago. Looks alright though.

Beautiful!!
Maybe I'm going crazy, it looks more like Strato Silver than Horizon Blue?

Thanks. I'm pretty stoked. There aren't too many cars like this up here in the north eastern US and Canada. Most of them are rotted along the bottom 6".

The respray colour is a little darker than it should be. You can kind of see the original paint colour on the apron inside the engine compartment in my picture above. That same lighter colour is throughout the interior, door jams, under the hood, and shows through the respray colour in spots where it's thin.

Ah, got it.
Truly a great find, it looks gorgeous. The foglights finish it off very well.

Nice find. Still not Horizon Blue though, Horizon Blue is a pale non metallic blue. My guess would also be Strato Silver.

2000 grit wet sand, 3M heavy cut compound on a wool pad, followed by 3M finishing polish on a foam pad.
