The first pic in the volkszone thread looks like a split window rear fender which means those tail-lights are too low and the holes are wrong.

I found this a while ago on the samba and saved it as a jpg so I don't know who took the time to document this but I thought it was really great. I'm using a pair of 60s fenders so I have the same problem.

Hope this helps.

nick696 - I looked at your gallery pics and by the way great build!
I noticed your fender holes appear to be slightly lower than the pic I posted.

What year is your Beetle? 1955?

It is accualy a '56, but the fenders are pre-56
I started of with the body only an started searching for parts, so kinda saved de body Laughing and gave it al the parts of his fellow brothers and sister.
But I didn't have any paperwork, so I found a '54 pan. So I'm trying to give it a '54 look. I know not really correct, but hey this body was going to a junkyard. So I think no harm done by doing this, and I'm really taking care of this care. Hope to get it done soon Wink
