„ you might notice the BD specific Carburettor, the rare manifold, regulator and distributor as well as the Air Filter.“
A March 1954 bus indeed comes with a very rare distributor, Bosch VJ4 BR3, without vacuum can. The distributor in the photo shows a vacuum can. |

Yeah, TMI.
Reminds me of a family member who has to have, and repeat, grandiose stories to prove that their posessions are so much better than anyone elses.
Just say something like 'we have the full history - contact us for details' and concentrate on listing the physical positives and negatives of the vehicle. _________________ Andy

Yes he does ramble but just an example of the deep emotional connection people have with automobiles and the adventures/stories they have in them. Im sure age and perception have a lot to play in it. _________________

I laughed at this ad because I saw that first pic and I was like "Cool, I can see original paint under the repaint on the door".
Went to the next couple pics and... "Ah Shit" |

A cash offer might even net you a practically free bus |

This does seem like a situation where will get people asking if they can buy the middle seat out of it.

That’s a lot of money for a rusty turd.
Is anyone even buying project buses anymore? The market seems to be non existent anymore for big projects like this. Probably be easier to just sell the interior. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

I sold a very comparable project 61 mango recently for 23k. The original paint was a little bit nicer but it sold immediately and could have sold a few times over. Projects still sell, not as well and you have to reach a broader audience than thesamba. It’s been years since any of my cars have sold through thesamba or eBay for that matter. People are glued to Facebook and instagram I guess.

Keep in mind this is priced in Canadian Dollars, so the asking price is actually about $13,900 USD. That's close to half the price of what Graysvws easily sold his comparable for. I'm surprised it is still listed honestly. |
