Keeping up with posts on the Ghia forum keeps me plenty busy so I'm not on other forums much, but I just stumbled on to this one. You sir are full of surprises. Looks like a nice find. These old buses are so cool. Can't wait to see more pictures. Congratulations. You must be excited for it to arrive. _________________ Marc

Thanks and i am but i have to make room here at some point. With the Ghia still getting paint, i at least have some space to move things around once the weather agrees and i have the time both on the same day(s)!! _________________ July 1959 Mango Standard Bus aka Obus L346 L347 https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256592&highlight=

with that production date, should this bus have pointed front and rear bumpers? |
Nice '66, congrats!
I've only seen the mismatch of slash/pointed bumpers on the early '66's, and I've only seen the slash front, pointed rear combo on a mismatch. That is how my 10/07/65 was rumored to have been from the factory.
Seems like they ran out of rear slash bumpers, before using all of the slash front bumpers up. _________________ "OG = Original German" -- TheSamba.com dictionary |
