The Historic Race Weekend provides plenty of excitement for the entire family. Visit the cars and drivers in the expansive paddock and watch the races from several vantage points. Food/drink vendors and sponsors are located throughout the facility. Including Helltown Brewing – the “Official Beer of the PVGP” If you feel the personal need for speed, that can be done too. For a donation to the charity, you can rent a kart and reach speeds up to 45 mph on the .82 mile karting track. 2024 will feature the first Pittsburgh outing for Concours d'Lemons, The Concours d’ Lemons, a tongue-in-cheek show celebrating the Un-Best of the automotive world, clatters into the pits at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix at Pittsburgh International Race Complex on July 27, 2024. Participants will share their affection for their less-than-loved autos with spectators and capricious, bribery-prone judges who award thrift store sources prizes in hilarious categories such as “Rust Belt American Junk,” “Most Dangerous,” and “Best Back Seat.” The whole debacle culminates in the presentation of the coveted “Worst of Show” trophy that sees the owner and hooptie showered in silly string. Does your VW have what it takes? Also for 2024, the GT40 60th Reunion will be held. You saw them take on old man Enzo in Ford vs. Ferrari, now see and hear the might Ford GT40 as they roar around the track. Founded in 1983, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Motorsport Festival features two weekends of racing action. The first weekend is the PVGP Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. The second weekend is racing through a 2.33-mile road course set on the streets of Schenley Park. Between our race weekends, we stage car shows, parties, road rallies, and a black tie formal. The PVGP is driven by 1,200 volunteers dedicated to staging the country’s largest and longest-running vintage race event. It is also a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide residential care, treatment and support for people with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities – donating $6.7 million to date to charity. The Central Ohio Vintage VW Club will host the 33rd annual Volksfest. All vintage and new Volkswagens are welcome. Also welcome are Porsche, Audi, and any interesting European and air-cooled cars. Website for updated event info: http://www.bnnta.com Join us for the premier Midwest VW Type 2 camping event! Come join us for the upcoming "Buses Nowhere Near the Arch" camping weekend. This family-oriented camping event will feature on average a gathering of around 100 VW Transporters of all types and eras from all over the USA. While predominantly a Type 2 event, please be clear that all models and eras of VW vehicles are welcome to camp with us! We are looking forward to seeing you and your Transporter amidst all the "Split-windshields", "Bubble-windshields", Vanagons, and Eurovans as well as any other VW types and models this Fall. Please note that only VW vehicles are allowed inside the BNNTA event campground. "Buses Nowhere Near The Arch #38" will be held rain or shine over the long Labor Day holiday weekend, Friday, Aug 30th thru Sep 2nd, 2024. We will gather again at the "group campground" inside the Indian Creek Recreation Area. This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground is located right alongside 18,000 acre Mark Twain Lake, about 30 miles southwest of historic Hannibal, Missouri. This is a beautiful, federally-run campground with paved roads and parking pads and nice facilities. Most conveniences are available in nearby Monroe City or Hannibal. On both Friday and Saturday evening we plan to have campfires, VW door prizes (on Sat evening), along with parts swapping in addition to the "site-to-site" socializing that this VW camping event is famous for. On Saturday morning we are planning another of our famous "Bus caravans" over to historic Hannibal, the boyhood home of Samuel Clemens, a.k.a. "Mark Twain." You'll have lots of time to explore the haunts of his hometown, or tour "Injun Joe's cave." You won't want to miss it! On Saturday afternoon registered campers can stroll the campground and select by ballot their favorite VW Transporters, and that evening owners choice awards will be presented in several Type 2 classes in addition to a drawing for any vendor and participant-donated VW door prizes. If you have any neat VW-related items to donate, please bring them along for the drawing. On Sunday you are free to enjoy the lake or visit other regional highlights. It should prove to be a relaxed, fun weekend full of great Volkswagen experiences and new friendships. We are planning again to have a "vintage lantern walking tour" on Saturday evening, so break out your old and new lanterns, dust 'em off, get them working and bring them along for the lantern-lit walking tour of the campground! We will present a best lantern award! Our private camping facilities at Indian Creek include our own large, private "Buses Nowhere Near the Arch" group area with some electric hook-ups (first come, first served), fishing, water-sports (bring your water toys), playground, a huge pavilion shelter, nice toilet and shower facilities, and a nearby boat ramp. The all inclusive camping/event fee is $35 per VW for the entire weekend. Please note that only VW’s that are registered and camping will be admitted into the BNNTA group campground area! Now, please read that last sentence one more time! Sites in the BNNTA group campground area can not be reserved in advance. The gates to our campground will be open for arrivals and site selection on Thursday around noon. If you arrive earlier, you could stay nearby in the regular "main campground" in the Indian Creek Recreational Area at the park's daily rates. September 22, 2024 Organization: San Diego Air Cooled Location: Sea Coast Blvd. Imperial Beach, California San Diego Air Cooled cordially invites you, your family, and your Volkswagen, be it a perfect restoration or not so perfect to Air Cooled Fiesta XI. Other air cooled marques are welcome; Porsches, Tatras, Franklins, Corvairs, etc, Some fans like it so much they bring more than one car or a bus load of people. Sea Coast Blvd bordering the beach is reserved for show cars. Cars will also be exhibited on the plaza, sand, and pier (fishing permitted). There are restaurants, pubs, breweries, cup cake bakery, ice cream shop, markets, and hotels on or adjacent to the venue. A parking lot has been reserved for swappers, and the grass area will host vendors/sponsors, entertainment and awards. When: Sunday October 20, 2024, 8am - 4pm Where: Hutto Brushy Creek Amphitheater, 1001 Co Rd 137, Hutto, TX 78634 What: VW Harvest Volkswagen Car Show Why: To support the VW Community and Kiwanis of Silicon Hills Who: VW Harvest/VW Life team The VW Harvest began in 2010 at Southwest Regional Williamson County Park. It has been held every year at the park since with the exception of no shows in 2014 and 2020. It is the largest VW car show in Texas, with over 300 classic Volkswagens in attendance. It is a free show to all participants, there is no registration fee nor spectator fee. The show is supported by many local, state, national and international businesses with donations to the raffle which sustain the show. Top Notch Restaurant donates hot dogs and buns which the local Kiwanis Club prepares and then gives away to folks in attendance. They only ask for donations. It is by far the Kiwanis of Silicon Hills largest fundraiser each year which they put back into our community. The Kiwanis use local high school students as part of their service to the community. The VW Harvest is a very fun, family friendly event with Hot Wheels races for the kids, a Kids Twinkie Eating contest and a fun home-made VW Valve Cover pinewood derby race. It is promoted on the VW Life YouTube channel, which currently has 44,000 subscribers across the globe, the VW Life and VW Harvest Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as local newspapers and TV/radio stations. The VW Harvest is a very special event held each year for families and friends to come together and enjoy a beautiful day in the park with their Volkswagens. All are welcome. |

Weather permitting we will be gathering once again at the Westbrook Town Beach from Noon to 3pm for the last Volkswagen event of the year. Are you crazy enough to go to a VW event in December??? Afterwards we are invited to participate in Westbrook's Annual "Tree Lighting" Parade. The Parade starts at 4pm from South Main St and continues to the town green and circles around it. Then we all join in on the green for refreshments, song, and Christmas Cheer. VW decorating is highly encouraged!!! Camping starts Friday March 7th gates opens at 10am. Chicken Dinner 5pm $10, includes 1st Keg of beer. Show Saturday March 8th open to all Volkswagen's any year any model, this is a VW Show. Top 10 Trophies, T-shirts, Raffles, Kids Events, Food, Hot and Cold Drinks. Beer Garden, Spectator Entrance is $2 (12 & under free), Vehicle Show Entry is $10, vendor space $30, swap space $20 per vehicle, $50 all weekend pass includes driver only. Each additional person is $2, Camping is at the Fairgrounds enter from the Pacific street entrance across from Walmart, located between Old Highway 95 and 32nd St across from Yuma Airport (look for the VW sign). RV camping $30 per night if you need power $40 per night. No Generators after 10pm If camping and attending the show, we are only charging one price for Camping and show entry.
