Try using the "search" function here. This will benefit you like you would not even imagine and may be quite surprised at the answersto this question. This question/topic has been asked and covered numerous times. If you get stuck come on back and ask away. Good luck with your buddies restoration. _________________ '67 Kombi/EZ Camper

I believe that the keys were different as well. The tumblers in the door locks were longer. Even though you can use 64-67 door handles. Also your high beam switch is part of the turn signal switch instead of on the floor. |

Yes the keys were different, this would also make the ignition switch, the cargo door lock and the rear hatch lock different. High beam switch changed to the signal stalk in ''66''. I drive 3 66's. Also no need for the church key in 67. |

Spring loaded fuel door, too, but I think that was carried over into the early fat chick buses, right?
One year only radio blanking plate/radio hole? |

All kinds of subtle spot welds and little metal improvments. The rear hatch hinge arms are "I" beamed further than earlier ones, for example. Some later '67s have rear defrost adaptability built in including wiring holes. Condensation drainage is improved. Front mat is different since there's no foot switch. On and on.... |
