Purchased this GZ250 as a non runner.
New battery, clutch cable, muffler and paint among other things.

I have been tinkering with my two Honda CT90's over the last couple of weeks. Just got some carb kits yesterday.
My daughter's C70 Passport is next on the list. _________________ nothing |

Anybody out there in sambaland have a M12 x 1.25 spark plug time-sert kit? 14mm are everywhere, but 12mm are hard to find and expensive.
One of the CT90's has very weak spark plug threads. I cleaned things with a tap, but it still isn't quite right.
I'd be willing to rent it and pay a deposit if someone has one they are willing to send off to a new land for awhile. _________________ nothing |

I dont like using taps for this as it usulay makes them worse. I do like to use a good grade 8 bolt with moly lube on it and on the threads of the head to straighten the threads some, it wont remove just straightens them. some times a good brass spiral brush is needed to get any carbon out first, I have snappoff thread chasers but Im mot real fond of them in aluminum either,
in addtion many taps are not quite right....pitch,size etc off a bit. I do like the el cheepo harbor fright taps for tapping hard to tap materials( like vw cases oil gallys) and use the china tap first as they cut much better/ eazyer than the name brand taps then retap with a name brand tap.( this is for the tapered pipe taps) the china taps are off a little but they tap so much eazer and save wear on the good taps.
check ebay for the 12mm kits's Ive gotton some extreamly cheep there. as well as stores that sell items/tools discontinued from ,lowes, ace, homers depot etc) many times these are sold supper cheep when they just change packaging!!! |

I have a few sets of taps, but what I need is the time-sert kit for 12mm. It bores the hole slightly larger, taps for new threads, then you thread in an insert similar to a helicoil, but designed for spark plugs. 14mm sets are cheap and easy to find. 12mm sets are expensive and seemingly rare.

I'll buy one if I have to, but I'd rather not. _________________ nothing |

Never been a huge fan of the Harley style, but that looks pretty good. Simple, clean, and a little rough around the edges. _________________ nothing |

I am not a Harley expert but I know enough to recognize that one as a genuine classic custom driver and it is SWEET! |

I bet dude was stoked to see someone on their knees taking pics of the bike.
I wonder if he lays it on the ground if there's nothing to lean it against? _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.

That's a very interesting bit of exhaust pipe under the engine, can't say I've seen that before. A little digging reveals it's called a "squish exhaust". |

Have a '74 CB750, had no idea such a conversion was available.
Very interesting, thanks for posting that. |
