I'm in need of a correct measuremnt for placement of this 63 ragtop into my 56 Bug. I believe the measurement was 22 1/2" from B pillar "ridge" to front inside edge of ragtop assy. Does this look right? It sure seems to fit good there Confused

Hi,
When I saw this I was going to post that you should contact "Saggs" for he is doing this task right now, then I saw you are Saggs. You could always talk to yourself and get advice though I imagine you've been talking to yourself for days now over this task.

From the door jamb on the exterior of the B pillar (not the inside where the interior pillar trim attaches) to the front edge of my roof (where the headliner DOES attach) I have 22". This is a factory installed 2 fold, not a graft, 100% sure of that.

I'm working on the exterior, not the inside like you are. Not going to rip out the headlining to see if mine matches yours!

I put a carpenters square (about a 6" or 7" leg along the drip rail) against the drip rail, lined up with the edge of the door opening on the B pillar and measured from the long arm shooting over the roof to where the front of the sunroof opening goes from curved to straight across the front of the car.

Hope this helps
dave
