Newbie to this site here. None the less, I hope to be looking at a reportedly 100% original '69 beetle coupe this weekend. The car is an OCD/pack rat estate car and (again, reportedly) has less than 100 (not a typo) original miles. Best case scenario, (I realize there are a lot of variables here) what would you offer?

It really depends on the condition. It could be anywhere from $100 if it;'s rusted out and missing parts or up to $5000 if it's completly solid is 100%complete and really only has 100 miles. POst some pics if you can

So, you heard about a mint 69 with less than 100 miles on it. Get your hopes up, and create lots of buzz.

I'm willing to bet this is much closer to the real senario.....

If there is actually a VW there, you'll find a rotted hulk of a pile, rodent damaged and rusted quite well. Milage on the speedometer is probbiy 50Kish, but went around 2 or 4 times already.
Then if the moron that owns the car doesnt give you 1 of 2 stories....
1. I'm going to keep it and restore it one day
2.You know these are rare now and bring alot of money once restored, I wont let it go for any less than $(insert stupid amount of cash here)

If it is mint with 100 actual miles, it's worth a lot more than 5k.

If you know anyone locally that knows old VWs, have them come with you to help since you are not familiar with the cars. Someone has a price in mind and yeah - can be from $100 on up - I am guessing if it's real and cherry, the car could bring well over $10K.

True, since Beetles are technically a sedan.

Don't!!! Very Happy

That guy will tell you "...it's not worth the $500 hes asking..."

Then he will come back and pay the $500 and re-sell it here for $3500... Shocked Shocked

In all seriousness, search around in the classifieds and you will get a pretty good idea of how much you can offer...

All this if YOU are the one who will rebuilt/restore the car.

Good luck.
