Was told this Thing was used in the movie "Swamp Thing" or possibly the TV show?
Did some searching on the samba, the google, the you tube....nothing.
Just curious and would like to see the movie or episode that it was used. Anybody in the know?

The claim is only as good as the previous owner can prove in writing. Not to sure what (if any) additional value a vehicle would appriciate for "star" status. The was a VW Thing for sale that had Drew Barrymore's ass prints on it. Seller was asking an insane price for it. No takers as far as I know.
Best way to value would be to value the vehicle based on the vehicle alone (sans star status), The difference between that and the seller's asking price would the "added value" of stardom.
I see a very rough, no rolling body. Engine unknown, tranny unknown, less than $1000. A whole lot less depending on rust issues. I've seen worse raised from the dead. _________________ Walküre Restoration Thread: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=737492 |

I'm not looking to buy it...just wondering if there was a Thing in the Swamp Thing movie and if this could have been it. It's sitting in a salvage yard in the middle of Missouri and the yard owner mentioned it was in that movie. There's some sort of film "studio" sticker or logo on it. Fairly ruff and I think there is no pan under it. _________________ 1979 Type-2 Westfalia “Sandy”

HA!
I wonder how much "the essence of Drew Barrymore" adds to the price?
