CTV News and Victoria Times Colonist show burnt Van.

The newspaper says "It appears there was a malfunction in the vans heater".

I doubt anyone was running a gas heater today (25 Celcius).

I happened to be riding my bike with my son downtown and we saw the aftermath , the van was burnt to a crisp, the traffic was a mess downtown

Gas tank is in the front, it would be a good idea to cool the whole thing down. You can't just put the fire out and walk away.

Sorry to see the loss.

Changing fuel lines, rails and the bulkhead spigot is highly recommended.

So is carrying a fire extingusher properly rated for automobile fires.

If you are OK and away from the vehicle, it must really suck to watch your van burn.
