Has anyone tried Smart Fortwo seats in their buggy? I'm not a fabricator so I'm hoping for a relatively easy install. |

Yep! They're nice and sit a bit deeper than this now due to a body lift...

Here are a couple pics of my project. Just added Jamar disc brakes an adjustable beam so I can soften the springs. Also added some new rims and tires up front. Next are the seats, so I can relocate the steering into a better position and some rear rims and tires

Here's the mounts I made for the Miata seat sliders... I based the on TJ Kustoms... in this thread you'll see some much better than mine....http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=485916&highlight=tijuana+toms
Here's the final product:

I have been putting PRP Seats in all the buggies I have been building and have been very happy with them.
Having just done over 2000 miles in a set under both race and cruise conditions I am even happier with them.
One of the great things about the PRP Seats is that when you cost what it takes to get a set of other seats recovered and take into account the cost of the PRP Seats includes custom covers there are even a better deal.

I'd love PRP seats, but on my current build with the dollar and shipping costs I'd be at almost a grand to get them here.. No go. |
