The pinstripe on the beltline turned out nice. I can't imagine how nice it would be to a bus show up looking like that ready to start assembling.

Just a matter of question, what are the things circled red?

Don't have them in my 11 window standard from 66.

Love the two tone and the pin stripes really set it off. Can you take a close up of the pin striping?

Good spot!! They're seat belt mounts that I had fitted prior to the paint. There's also mounting points grafted high up the b pillars behind the front seats.

To be honest, there's a lot about this bus that's not original. It was absolutely rotten which meant it had to be over restored.

For a start, it was never a walk through when it left the factory.. I had a Rhd walk through seat section grafted in. It was a big job, but I really wanted it. Unless you read my mcode plate you'd never know, it's been done so well. They also grafted in a spare wheel well. Typically we couldn't lay hands on an original split one, so they had to spend a shit load of time modifying a bay one so it was the same dimensions as a split one. And you cannot tell it has been modified at all, such is the work they did.

There's also a small modification to the exterior bodywork. It's on the cargo door side. Anyone spot it and have a guess as to what it's for?

Purist will hate me. Laughing

Wow UK, beautiful and I love the mods you've done. I miss that exciting time when it comes back from the body shop and the tinkering can begin.

Accent/door handle lighting on the door pillar? If it were lower I'd say relief tube?

Yea, but it's only the first one that stings so bad.

Looks awesome! Can't wait to watch & see this progress. I have the same situation coming up in 2-4 weeks when shop finishes St. Pete. Would love to see what you do!

Do you have any pictures of the mounting or technical information for the belt mounts? If you do, would you post them up?
Thanks,
Spitty

The paint and stripes really make the bus pop, it is just the right amount, nice and subtle. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Berpsta got it right, first time. It's a flu for a fridge. They usually have to have ugly plastic things screwed to the long panel, but some clever chap in the uk decided he wanted his fridge in a different place and so ran some tubing up through the b pillar. I just stole his idea (with his permission). The mod you see on the outside is to stop water from entering the pipe. The guy that did my body work didn't want it to be bell shaped, to match the other curves of the bus. Someone asked me if it was a factory mod the other day as 'it looks like it was meant to be there'.
